First, let's find out what figure of speech is

In language, figure of speech means figure of speech. Figure of speech is figurative language that can consist of a single word or phrase. Figure of speech is an expression or figure of speech used for literacy needs, both oral and written. In figure of speech, the sentences that are written sometimes do not contain literal meaning but only as expressions.

Figure of speech serves to beautify words in English which are usually used to write poetry, rhymes, and even prose. Not only poetry or poetry, there are also many other things that use figure of speech in their writing, for example greeting cards, slogans, headlines in news, film subtitles, even the motto of a company.

Song Meaning : 

On their third album, Midnight Memories, One Direction released a single entitled Story of My Life. This song tells the story about the lives of One Direction personnel who often feel homesick and miss the family time atmosphere that is difficult for them to get after debuting. This deep meaning is further strengthened by the music video, which directly invites the families of each member to appear in this music video. As well as displaying photos of your childhood with your beloved family. Anyway, this music video has succeeded in making you homesick and you don't want to miss any quality time with your family.

Figure Language :

• Similes : "But, baby, running after you is like chasing the clouds" This is an example of similes because it uses the word "like" and it is comparing you/girl to "chasing the clouds"
• Alliteration : "Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain" This is an example of alliteration cause it is uses the word "Written" and "Wall" which booth start with the letter "W"
• Personification : "I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days" This is an example of personification cause a heart can't stay in a cage 
• Hyperbole's : "and time Is frozen" This is an example of  hyprbole's because time can't be frozen and another one is "until she's broke inside" because 'she' can't actually be broke
• Methapors" : "I spend her love until she's broke" This is an example of methapors because it's comparing her love to spending money 
• Idiom's : " The story of my life" This is an example of idiom's because it can't be taken actually
