𝒟𝑒𝒻𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃 : 

A Hortatory exposition is a type of spoken or written text that is intended to explain the listeners or readers that something should or should not happen or be done. To strengthen the explanation, the speaker or writer needs some arguments as the fundamental reasons of the given idea. In other words, this kind of text can be called as argumentation.

Hortatory exposition text can be found in scientific books, journals, magazines, newspaper articles, academic speech or lectures, research report etc. Hortatory expositions are popular among science, academic community and educated people. 

Meanwhile, according to Dictionary.com exposition is a writing or speech whose main purpose is to convey information or to explain.

𝔾𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕔 𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕦𝕔𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖 : 

💣Thesis : Statement or announcement of issue concern

💣Arguments : Reasons for concern that will lead to recommendation

💣Recommendation : Statement of what should or should not happen or be done based on the given arguments

｡✧  🎀  𝒢𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒾𝒸 𝐹𝑒𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒𝓈  🎀  ✧｡ : 

💢Hortatory exposition focuses on generic human and non human participants, except for speaker or writer referring to self.

💢It uses mental processes. It is used to state what the writer or speaker thinks or feels about something. For example: realize, feel etc.

💢It often needs material processes. It is used to state what happens.

💗🐯  Ƥ𝕦𝐫ρσ𝐒ⓔ  🐚🐤 :

The purpose of this text is to explain and influence the reader that something should or should not happen or be done.

🎄🍪  𝕔Ħ𝒶𝓡𝓪𝕔𝓣єŘιＳŤ𝕚ℂ  ♕🐚 :

🦈Have writing that focuses on the author.

🦈Using abstract nouns, such as: culture, policy, advantage, and so on.

🦈The writing always uses action verbs, such as: value, ask, tell, argue, and so on.

🦈Thinking verbs are also always used in hortatory exposition writing. Thinking verb is a verb related to thinking activities, such as: think, worry, wonder, and so on.

🦈Temporal conective is also used in writing with this type of text. Temporal connective is a phrase that relates to time. For example: firstly, secondly, and others.

🦈Sentences are written using passive sentences because they have a first point of view, namely the author.

🦈The grammar used is simple present tense aka using verb 1.

Hortatory is composed to persuade the readers. It strengthens the point to do and not to do like the writer want. To persuade the readers, a writer will use and explore arguments to support the writer’s idea about the matter. The idea which the writer want to present is called Thesis.

The thesis which is stated in the first paragraph of the exposition lead some paragraphs consist of arguments. The arguments try to prove that the thesis is an important matter needs to considered.

After all, hortatory exposition will be closed by the writer recommendation concerning about the thing discussed.

Thesis : A lot of people especially young people go through the day without having breakfast. Many people believe that it is not important, or usually they did not have time for breakfast, and begin their day without breakfast. I think all of people should breakfast before going the activity. This is the reason the importance of breakfast, especially for students.

Argument 1 : The first reason why you should breakfast before going to school is for your health. When you did not breakfast , I believe you will be tired. Because breakfast is important for build our spirit. It is not good if our stomach an empty all day long. All of you are going to get magh and a lot of problems with your health.

Argument 2 : the second reason is because you need food for to do well in the class. Your body and your brain are not going to function if you are not going to breakfast. You did not have strength and energy to pervade the material.

Argument 3 : The last reason to have breakfast every day because you can avoid diseases. You have to breakfast in the morning. If you do not eat you are going to sick.

Recommendation : You have to realize if breakfast is the most important of the day, and you can not leave it. It is better if you have a good breakfast everyday, this is the better way to start your activity. Go to school with the spirit

Conclusion of chapter 4 : 

Exposition text is a type of text that deals with the analysis,the generic structure of exposition text is thesis,argument and reiteration. The purpose exposition text is text to persuade people and also exposition text have 2 different type of text. The first one is analytical exposition and the second is Hortatory exposition,so actually the 2 type of the text is same but of course there is a different. And Exposition text can be applied in everyday life
