Passive voice is a sentence whose subject is subject to an action or activity. In Indonesian, the passive voice or passive sentences usually begins with the prefix ter- or di-.

Passive voice is the opposite of active voice which is a sentence with the subject doing an activity or activity.

𝖕𝖚𝖗𝖕𝖔𝖘𝖊 :

The passive voice is used when we want to emphasize the action (the verb) and the object of a sentence rather than subject. This means that the subject is either less important than the action itself or that we don’t know who or what the subject is.

Passive voice or passive voice is used to show interest in the person or object that is being acted on and not the person or object that is doing the action.

💢In the passive voice, the auxiliary verb will change form based on the time it occurs. The following is an explanation of the various forms of passive voice💢

• Simple Present Tense: Object + am/is/are + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example : 

💣The jacket is made by him.

💣All items are sold within 10 minutes.

• Simple Past Tense: Object + was/were + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💭The cookies were made by my mother.

💭My phone was stolen yesterday.

• Simple Future Tense: Object + shall/will + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💥The garden will be cleaned regularly starting next week.

💥The students will be taken to the park

• Present Continuous Tense: Object + am/is/are + being + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💢All the rooms in that hotel are being renovated at the moment.

💢Please wait. The letter is being written.

• Past Continuous Tense: Object + was/were + being+ V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💫Their bicycles were being repaired.

💫The meal was being prepared by the time she arrived.

• Future Continuous Tense: Object + shall/will + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💟Books will be being read by Leo and Andy 

💟Many books from library in her town will be being borrowed by her in her town 

• Present Perfect Tense: Object + have/has + been+ V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💤The road has been repaired.

💤All the assignments have been done by him.

• Past Perfect Tense: Object + had+ been + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💬An important announcement had been made by the president.

💬This motorcycle hadn’t been used much.

• Future Perfect Tense: Object + shall/will + have + been + V3 + by + Object/Pronoun

example :

💧The theme park will have been built by then.

💧The food will have been eaten by the children.
